The purpose of this module is
to provide the field supervisor with a simple tool for measuring progress
on a day to day or weekly basis.
The Construction Progress (CPS) module measures and monitors on-site detail
construction progress. It uses the data generated by the Estimating (EST)
module and the dates from the schedule (SCH) modules to establish the
baseline BCWS.
Actual progress is calculated using the earned value concept. By entering
the percent complete for each activity, the CPS calculates the actual
progress at any level of the WBS/Facility, package, discipline, or responsibility,
as well as for the overall job. Percentages can be based on pre-establish
criteria providing an easy audit.
Progress can be displayed in table or graphic format. Actual pictures
of the work-in-progress can be stored in the database to illustrate the
status of the construction work.
Progress can be recorded daily, weekly or monthly.
Other features available include tracking of safety information, site
conditions and quality control.
This module is especially suitable for fast-track projects where construction
progress reporting on a daily is required.
