The Engineering Management module
(EMS) provides on-line monitoring of all engineering activities and production
of deliverables such as drawings, specifications, list of material, and
manuals.
It supports multiple formats of documents and provides information regarding
document status, progress and performance by design package, document
type, WBS/Facility, discipline, and responsibility. Information can be
displayed in graphic or table format. It is a powerful tool for coordinating
design work performed by several design companies. Each document can be
retrieved and reviewed by clicking on the hyperlink field. The EMS includes
electronic transfer of documents for coordination.
Status of engineering and design progress in “S” curve or
histogram format is available on line.
The EMS tracks also the status of submittals, Request for Information
(RFI’s), shop drawings, and vendor documents. It allows direct issuance
of transmittal documents and provides an audit trial of all documents
issued.
The EMS can automatically generate a detailed list of documents from basic
information such as WBS/Facility codes, document type and document quantity.
It also generates the resources required: Man-hours and cost by professional
skill.

• The Correspondence Management module (DMS) to produce
and track transmittals
• The Equipment Management module (EQM)
• The Material Management module (MMS)
• The Contract Management module (CMS) where progress payment for
the engineering and design work can be generated.
