The Resource Management (LEX) tracks labor hours and cost as well as expenses
across projects from proposal stage to budget and Estimate at Completion
Cost (EAC).
It contains employee information including salary, benefits, assignment,
dependents, vacations, insurance coverage and contracted conditions. This
information is used to calculate forecasted cost as well as the historical
cost using time sheet information.
The LEX automatically generates employee time sheet and calculates actual
man-hours, costs and utilization. It uses advanced forecasting technique
to calculate the Estimate to Complete Cost (ETC).
Historical Information from the Finance and Administration (EXP) module
can be transferred into this module to provide full Profit and Loss information
by project, branch office, responsible business line or project manager,
from any past date until any specified future date. Profit and loss reports
can be generated by Week, Month, Quarter or Year.
Reports produced by this module can be in local currency or converted
into a reference currency such as U.S. dollars. The LEX can produce all
information required for progress payment and billing to be used in the
Contract Management (CMS) module.
By transferring data from the Marketing module (MKT), the LEX module
can include in the forecast the value of the opportunities for calculating
future revenue and margin.
